Half Day Chiang Mai City Walk Tour.

                Pick up from your hotel at 8.00 am. Heading east of the old town. Crossing the Ping river the main river which is important for Chiang Mai people in the old days as the main transport route as well as the one of the four main rivers that formed the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Drop off at Wat Ket Karam, built in 1428 by Kin Sam Fang Kaen. Worship the pagoda of the Dog year in the Chinese zodiac. See the old architect of the wooden building which still charming and graceful. Visit the temple cultural museum with many artifacts which are more valuable to see and learn. Then walk across Chan Som walking bridge, known by the locals in Chiang Mai as Khuao Khaek as it was built by Mr.Sheak who was the missionary lived in Chiang Mai at that time to connect the people in the eastside of the river and the westside which also connect the commercial area as well. Explore Warorot Market. The biggest day market in Chiang Mai with different kinds of stuff for the locals to buy. See the local lifestyle which is very lively. After the market stroll along the main street where the locals could get into the old town of Chiang Mai. Stop by at Buppharam temple ( the flowers temple) See the old vihara in wood that still keep the old architect of the northern Thai style. Then head to the main gate of Chiang Mai as the landmark for you to take a photo. Then continue on the Royal promenade, Rachadamnoen Rd., see the shops and temples which are line up along the streets to show you how strong the Buddhism in Chiang Mai is. Stop at Wat Chedi Luang Temple (The Grand Pagoda Temple) with the biggest pagoda in Chiang Mai dated back in 1401 ADs. with the standing Buddha image. Then hop to Pun Tao Temple in wooden which is hard to find. The last stop is the city center of Chiang Mai at the Three Kings monument, the founder of Chiang Mai city. From this point you could see how they decided to build our city here on the fertile land. After that return back to your hotel.

Weather tips!

November - February.

                   During the winter in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degrees Celsius / 41 - 54 degrees Fahrenheit. You should come prepared with appropriate clothing. This is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation which makes the bio diversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.

March - May.
                  This is summer time, the temperature is between 28 - 33 degree Celsius / 82 - 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest time of the year is April, when temperatures can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius / 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring something light and thin to wear. Hat , sun glasses and sunscreen is recommended.

June - October.
                  This is the rainy season, the temperature is between 18 - 25 degree Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or rain coat are recommended. Flip flops or thongs are the best shoes to wear during these months.
