Itinerary.
Day 1 Chiang Dao Cave + Thaton temple + Boat along Mae Kok River + Original Hill tribe village + Chiang Rai.
Pick up from Chiang Mai city and heading north of Chiang Mai, stop by Chiang Dao ( The Stars city) for you to visit Chiang Dao Cave, explore the cave where once it used to be the place where the Burmese used to rest their soldier before attacked Chiang Mai in Mid 1400s AD. See the Buddha images in Burmese Style left in the cave and enjoy using your imagination of guessing the form of the stalagmite and stalagtite in the cave. After the Chiang Dao cave, Continue the road to Thaton, a small town as the frontier between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai on the north. Stop by at Thaton Temple for you to see the nice view of the town as well as Mae Kok river which flow from Myanmar into Thailand and from Thaon to Chiang Rai. See Thaton temple which is graceful on the top of the hill before having lunch in the lovely restaurant near the river. After Lunch board on the long tail boat about 3 hours to Chiang Rai ( Length of the boat ride depending on how high the river). Go along the river for you to enjoy the cool breeze and the scenery of the mountains view along the river bank. On the way stop by the hilltribe village, see their local lives. until reaching to Chiang Rai city. Meet the driver again at the river bank of Mae Kok River in Chiang Ra and continue to check in the hotel and relax.

Day 2 Blue Temple + Huay Pla Kung Temple + Black Museum + Tea Plantation + Doi Tung Royal Villa + Golden Triangle.
Check out from the hotel in Chiang Rai and visit Blue temple, the temple with elaborate decoration in Thai Art design in blue color. After that visit to Huay Pla Kung Temple, the Thai and Chinese architect design. See the main building in octagon shape which you could walk around inside to the top for the nice view over the temple area as well as the wood carving status of the Lord Buddha and the Goddess Quan Yin. Then visit to the famous Baan Dum or known as the Black House. See the collections of Art in Painting, Sculpture and carving which intended to show about life. Then visit the green field of the Tea plantation, taste the tea and then lunch in the local restaurant. After lunch visit Doi Tung Royal Villa of the Princess Mother of King Rama 9th of Thailand. See the log cabin and the beautiful garden with colorful flowers. Then heading to the Golden Triangle, the famous opium trade area in the old days and check in the hotel.

Day 3 Phu Khao Temple view point + Chiang Sean Old City + Long Neck Village + White temple + Hot Spring + Chiang Mai.
Check out from the hotel and visit to Phu Khao Temple where you could see the view point of the Golden Triangle, the birder of the 3 countries : Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Also the 2 rivers which divide the 3 countries**. Then visit to Chiang Sean, the old city with the old architect site. Then visit the Long Neck Village with the ladies decorated their necks with the brass coil to become the most beautiful in the village. Then heading to visit the famous White temple which stand glittering in the sunshine. The temple represent the purity. See the mural painting on the main building which present what had the artist had seen in his life time. Walking around visit the Hall of Flame with the master piece of Art and Painting which he created. Lunch in the local restaurant and heading to Chiang Mai. On the way, stop to stretching your legs at the hot spring before heading to Chiang Mai and drop off.
** Boat trip on Mae Khong River is optional. If you prefer to go on the boat, please inform the guide for your assistant, please.

Weather tips!
November - February.
During the winter in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degrees Celsius / 41 - 54 degrees Fahrenheit. You should come prepared with appropriate clothing. This is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation which makes the bio diversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.
March - May.
This is summer time, the temperature is between 28 - 33 degree Celsius / 82 - 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest time of the year is April, when temperatures can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius / 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring something light and thin to wear. Hat , sun glasses and sunscreen is recommended.
June - October.
This is the rainy season, the temperature is between 18 - 25 degree Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or rain coat are recommended. Flip flops or thongs are the best shoes to wear during these months.
