Half Day Learning and Hand on Farm Activites
Highlight of the trips.
This is the plan which is suitable for the family and kids or someone who interests in learning the local life of the Thai farmer : Rice information, rice plantation and how to cook rice and herb together.
Itinerary.
Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai city and then heading to the organic farm for you to learn and get the real experience of becoming the farmer by yourself. After the arrival you will meet the instructor who is going to introduce you about the fact of rice and then after that you are going to get change the farmer outfit which provided then heading to the rice filed. On the way you are also going to learn about the local vegetables and herbs which are very useful in the Thai kitchen. Learning how to ride on the water buffalos as they are part of the rice plantation process in the old days which now we are more concerned about reduce using the petrol and stopping pollution in the air. The buffaloes have returned back to the rice fields again to work with the farmers. With these processes we could get the best quality of the organic rice and the best environment for us as well as our future generation. After the learning how to be the farmer, enjoy with the mud slide to cool down before having a bath and get changed and clean for your tasty lunch. After lunch return back to your hotel.

Weather tips!
November - February.
During the winter in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degrees Celsius / 41 - 54 degrees Fahrenheit. You should come prepared with appropriate clothing. This is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation which makes the bio diversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.
March - May.
This is summer time, the temperature is between 28 - 33 degree Celsius / 82 - 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest time of the year is April, when temperatures can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius / 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring something light and thin to wear. Hat , sun glasses and sunscreen is recommended.
June - October.
This is the rainy season, the temperature is between 18 - 25 degree Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or rain coat are recommended. Flip flops or thongs are the best shoes to wear during these months.
