10 Days 9 Nights Chiang Mai to Bangkok Tour Highlight.

               This is a perfect trip you need to cover your trip from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. The combination of all highlight places and activities starts from Chiang Mai and the near by area such as Chiang Rai, Pai, Mae Hongson, Lampang, Phitsanulok, Kanchanaburi and end the trip in Bangkok. Day 1 : Pick up transfer in from Chiang Mai International Airport + Doi Suthep Temple + City temples + Hotel. 
                Pick up and transfer from Chiang Mai International Airport. Then visit to Doi Suthep Temple, the most important temple in Chiang Mai. Exercising time by walking up 306 steps to the temples or taking the funicular to the temple with the attitude at 1,100 ms. above the sea level.See the Northern Thai dented corner golden pagoda which contain the relic of the Lord Buddha. Surrounding with the mural painting hall which telling about the Lord Buddha story. Here you can also get a chance to get a holy blessing and wrist tiding ceremony from the Buddhist monk. From the balcony, enjoy with the panorama view of Chiang Mai City. Birds fly up in the sky and cool breath against your face.
                  Come back to the city to see Suan Dork Royal Temple where the northern royal family tombs are located and the standing Buddha Image, the only one in holding the blessing stick position in Chiang Mai. Visit Wat Chedi Luang or The Grand Pagoda Temple where you can see the biggest pagoda in Chiang Mai which broke down by the earthquake in 1454, but still can see the giantic pagoda stands gracefully in the middle of the temple ground. Before the returning back to the hotel see Wat Chiang Maan, the first temple as the royal resident of King Mengrai of  Mengrai dynasty. See 2 precious Buddha images " Phra Satangkamanee " and " Phra Buddha Sila " which are important for Chiang Mai people. After that visit Pra Singh Temple which dated back from 1345 ADs. Then check in the hotel in Chiang Mai.

Day 2 : Mae Sa Elephant Show + Elephant Riding + Orchid and butterfly farm + Lunch at the Tiger Kingdom + Chiang Dao cave + Angkhang.
              Pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai City and heading to the north of Chiang Mai by the road number 107 to Mae Sa Elephant Camp, the most famous elephant Camp in Chiang Mai. After the arrival at the elephant camp. Meet the new friends, big, but gentle elephants . See the elephant bathing in the stream near by the camp. Then enjoy with the elephant demonstration with number of skills such as dancing, live band music, playing football and the most famous elephant painting which you have to witness yourself.
            After the elephant demonstration , enjoy the elephant riding for an hour around the camp area. See the lovely jungle area near by. After finish the program from the elephant camp, visit the orchids and butterfly farm. See the beautiful orchids which blooming all year round and the colorful butterflies. Then heading for lunch at the Tiger Kingdom.**Remark** If you wish to play with the tigers you can pay the entrance fee tickets by yourself . Due to the prices are varies depending on the sizes of the tigers. The guide and the driver ‘re going to wait for you. **
            After that continue to Chiang Dao Cave, see the temple and the cave where once it was the place where the Burmese soldiers rested before attacked Chiang Mai City in mid 1500Ad. Then heading to Angkhang Mountain and spend the night there.

Day 3 : Angkhang Royal Project + Lahu Hill tribe at Khob Dong, the very end of Thai + Burmese Border Thaton + Doi Tung Royal Villa of the King's Mother + Lunch + Long Neck Village  + Mae Sai, Thailand and Myanmar Border + Golden Triangle.
             Check out and leaving from Angkhang hotel to Angkhang Royal Project , where the King spent his personal money to change the hill tribe life from opium cultivation to the winter crops. Enjoy take a walk in the Royal project with the fresh air and the beautiful flowers garden. Then visit Lahu Hill tribe who lives on the top of the mountain at the very end of Thailand and Burmese border. See the way of life of Lahu who also working for the King Royal Project and growing vegetables for their living. Then visit Thaton, the small town near by Kok River and having lunch.
              After lunch , continue the road to Doi Tung Royal Villa of the princess mother of King Rama 9th of Thailand. See the beautiful garden in the Royal villa area. Then visit the Long Neck hill tribe who immigrated from Khaya State, Myanmar. See the incredible length of the ladies’ necks. You can also count the rings on her neck , some have more than 25 rings with around 5 kilograms on her shoulders to be the most beautiful lady in her village. Then visit Mae Sai, Thailand and Myanmar Border where you can see Thai, Burmese as well as Chinese people crossing the border for commercial. Here you can buy some Chinese products if you prefer to. After finish from Mae Sai , Thailand – Myanmar Border, heading to the Golden Triangle where once it used to be the opium trade area. See the border between 3 countries : Thailand – Laos - Myanmar and enjoy taking photos and check in the hotel. Overnight at the Golden Triangle.

Day 4 : Hall of Opium + Boat along Mae Khong Giantic River to Laos + Black Museum or “ Ban Dum” + Lunch + White Temple or “ RongKhun Temple ” + Mae Khachan hot spring + Chiang Mai.
            Check out from the hotel to Hall of Opium for the history of the opium journey into the Golden Triangle area. Then take the boat ride on Mae Khong Giantic River to Laos. Enjoy the boat ride with the cool fresh air against your face.  After the boat ride, visit “ Ban Dum ” or Black Museum of  Mr.Tawan Datchanee, one of the great artist of Thailand. See the collections and the wood carving and the painting in the idea of  “ Yin and Yang ”, the balancing.
            Then having lunch before heading to “ Rong Khun ” or  White Temple. The Unique one in Chiang Rai and in Thailand with present in white color for the purity heart. See the mural painting in contemporary art of Mr.Chalermchai Kositpipat who create and devote his life to work on this temple. Enjoy taking photos of the temple before leaving the temple to Mae Khachan Hot Spring and heading back to Chiang Mai.

Day 5 : Chiang Mai + Mork Fah waterfall + Geyser + Pai Memorial Bridge + Pai Canyon + Pai.
            Pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai and depart from Chiang Mai to Pai. On the way stop at  Mark Fah Waterfall, see the lovely nature on the walk way inside the waterfall and the spray of fresh water against your face. Here you can swim if you wish to. After leaving from the waterfall having lunch in the local restaurant and continue to Pong Dued Hot Spring, unlike the other hot spring that are the hot pool type, Pong Dued is a Geyser that is usually of very high temperature and pressure. The surface temperature of the geyser is between 90 - 99 degree Celsius that of the underground water is between 170 - 203 degree Celsius. Then  Pai Memorial Bridge for your to take a picture. Then visit Pai Canyon, see the columns by nature and you could walk around for photos. Then heading to the hotel in Pai and stop by at Mae Yen Temple in Pai for the beautiful sunset before checking in the hotel and overnight in Pai.

Day 6 : Nam Hoo Temple + Santichol Chinese Community + Lod Cave + Lunch + Fish Cave + Su Tong Pae Bridge + Mae Hong Son.
           Check out and leaving Pai to Mae Hong Son province. On the way, Stop at Nam Hoo Temple, the small temple which you can see the principle Buddha Image of the temple with the water from inside his head although the monk has drained the water out form his head. The locals said it ‘s a holy water from the Lord Buddha. The visit “ Santichol ” , the small Chinese community who still keep their own tradition and the way of life.  After that visit Lod Cave with 3 chambers of the pillars cave, Dolls cave and the coffin cave. You can see the stalagmite and stalagtite in different shape and form. To get inside the cave, we are going to take the bamboo rafting through the cave area . While rafting inside the cave, you can see the Soro Brook Carp Fish swim by for you to feed them the food. From Lod Cave and continue to the Fish cave where you can see hundreds of “ Pluang Fish ” or “ Soro Brook Carp ” live in the fresh clear water from the cave, lunch in the local restaurant .After lunch, heading to Mae Hongsorn , then take a long tail boat on Salawin River to  the Long Neck Village at Ban Nam Piang Din near by Thailand -  Myanmar border.  Along the rive , see the lovely scenery view and local people life who live alongside of the river.At the long neck village, see the incredible length of the ladies’ necks just to be the most beautiful lady in her village. You can even try and feel the weights of the rings around the necks. The longest can carry all together about 5 kilograms on her shoulders and 1 kilogram on each legs. Then visit Su Tong Pae Bridge, the bamboo bridge from the monk and the locals to connect the temple with the village to have a short walk instead of walking on the main street in the longer distant.  After that return back to Mae Hong Son for checking in the hotel and overnight in Mae Hong Son.

Day 7 : Mae Hong Son + Doi Inthanont National Park + Lampang.
           Check out and leaving the hotel to Mae Hongsorn, see Wat Pra That Doi Kong Moo, the most important temple for the locals in Mae Hong Sorn with the Burmese art influence due to Mae Hongsorn is Thailand and Myanmar Border. After the temple , continue the road called Mae Na Jorn  Mea Cham to Khun Yaum and Doi Inthanont National Park with the highest peak of Thailand. Visit the twin pagodas of the King and the Queen of Thailand on the top of the mountain . See the panoramic view of the beautiful landscape .Then heading to Wachirathan Waterfall , the most waterfall in the national park area which has the water runs all year round before heading  to the hotel in Lampang.

Day 8 : Lampang + Sri Satchanalai + King Ramkamheang Museum + Biking and site seeing in Sukhothai Historical Park + Srichum temple with the talking Buddha + Phitsanulok.
              Pick up and check out from the hotel in Lampang and heading to Srisatchanalai historical park .After that visit King Ramkamheang Museum for some information of Sukhothai Historical park before taking a bike ride in the park area with the beautiful buildings and the chedis which remind us how beautiful city in the old days. See Wat Pramahathat,  Wat Pra Pai Luang,  Wat Chang lom as well as Wat Sri Chum with the talking Buddha as the highlight which challenge you if you could get him all in the picture. Lunch in the local restaurant and then heading to Phitsanulok province.  Stop Phitsanulok city for you to enjoy the horse carriage around Lampang old town seeing some temples and people. After that heading to Phitsanulok and check in the hotel.

Day 9 : Phitsanuloke + Ayutthaya + Kanchanaburi.
             Check out and leaving Phisanuloke to Wat Phra Buddha Chinaraj for you to see the Most beautiful Buddha Image in Thailand.  On the way stop will be made in Ayutthaya where once used to be the glory city before became ruins because of the Burmese invasion.  Visit Phanacheong Temple, see the biggest sitting  meditation Buddha image in Ayutthaya which the Thai people give our highly respect. See the Chineses art and achitacture in the temple area and enjoy taking photos. Then visit part of the old capital of Ayutthaya which now you can see part of the ruins of the prosperity in the ancient time with the grand chedis before leaving the old city to Kanchanaburi province.

Day 10 : Train to Sai Yoke Waterfall and the dead railway from the World War 2 + Bangkok.
            Pick up from the hotel in Kanchanaburi by van. Then continue by train to the Death Railroad  dated back from the World War II. See the beautiful iron bridge which was built from the World War II captive over the Kwae River. Near by you can see the grave yards of the captive from those days. Then visit the waterfall called “ Srai Yoke waterfall ” , the most beautiful waterfall in Kanchanaburi. Here you can swim in the waterfall if you prefer. After that going to Bangkok.  Drop off at Bangkok.

Weather  tips!

November - February.
It's the winter time in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degree Celsius. You should keep yourself warm with the jackets or sweater and pants. This kind of weather is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather with  the blooming flowers, green plants as well as the bio diversities of birds and wildlife.

June - October.
It’s wet season or rainy season, the temperature is between  18 – 25 degree Celsius. Travelling during this time of the year, please provide the umbrella or rain coat with you. Flip flops or tongs are the best to go around when there’s rain or some paddles area. 

March - May.
It's summer time, the temperature is between 28 – 33 degree Celsius. The hottest time of the year is mid of April during 13-15th which can be 40 – 43 degree Celsius. Wearing something light and thin fabric is the best to cool down from  the heat. You can also wear T-Shirt and shorts. Hat /cap, Sun glasses and sun cream is needed.
