On this trip, you will visit Mae Sa Elephant camp- the most famous elephant camp in Chiang Mai; Tiger Kingdom where you can get closer to the big cats* ; Chiang Dao Cave, where Burmese soldiers rested their troops on their way to Chiang Mai; Angkhang Royal Project to see the beautiful flower gardens and the landscape of the mountain area ; Long-necked Village with the Padong Karen tribe women wearing spiraling brass rings around their necks; Mae Sai border - meeting people from both Thailand and Myanmar at the local trading area; Golden Triangle - the famous area of opium trading in the old days; Black House with a collection of art and the balance of Yin and Yang in the Chinese Philosophy; White Temple - the most remarkable temple in white color with the elaborate Thai art.

Day 1 : Mae Sa Elephant Show + Elephant Riding + Orchid and butterfly farm + Tiger Kingdom + Chiang Dao cave + Angkhang.
Starts our day with Mae Sa Elephant Camp, the most famous elephant Camp in Chiang Mai. After the arrival at the elephant camp, meet the new big, but gentle elephants and watch them bathing in the stream near by the camp. Then enjoy the elephant demonstration with many skills such as dancing, live band music, playing football and the most famous elephant painting which you have to witness yourself. After the elephant demonstration, participate in elephant riding for an hour around the camp through the lush, green jungle. Then visit is Orchids and Butterfly Farm See the beautiful orchids blooming all year round including the Dancing Lady, and large variety of colorful butterflies. After that have lunch in the local restaurant at the Tiger Kingdom Meet the Royal Bengal Tigers, sometimes with their cubs. This species has been in Thailand since the reign of King Rama the V. You may also encounter the king of the jungle, the lion or even the LIGER if you are lucky.
**Remark** If you wish to get in the cage with the tigers, at your own risk, there will be an additional fee for this experience. Prices vary depending on the size of the tigers.
Afternoon visit to Chiang Dao Cave Explore the cave where the Burmese soldiers once rested before they attacked Chiang Mai City in the mid 1500's. Inside the cave you will also see several Buddha images and beautiful natural stalagmites and stalagtites. Then head to Angkhang.

Day 2 : Angkhang Royal Project + Lahu Hill tribe at Khob Dong + Norlae Army Base + Thaton, the small town on the border of Thailand and Myanmar + Long-necked Village + Mae Sai + Golden Triangle.
The morning visit to Angkhang Royal Project where the King spent his personal money to change the hill tribe life from opium cultivation to the winter crops. Enjoy walking in the Royal project with the fresh air and beautiful flower gardens. After that visit Lahu Hill Tribe The people who live on the top of the mountain at the Thai-Burmese border. Observe the Lahus working for the King's Royal Project - growing vegetables, fruits and flowers for their living. Lunch in the local restuarant then Thaton Visit the temple on the top of the hill which offers a magnificent view of Thaton town and the Kok River. Stop by Long-necked Hill Tribe These people immigrated from Khaya State in Myanmar. The ladies in this village wear spiraling brass rings around thier necks, weighing up to 5 kilograms / 11 pounds, as a sign of beauty.
Visit Mae Sai The border of Thailand and Myanmar which is one of the commercial trading points. Chinese products are available to purchase if interested before The Golden Triangle The border between 3 countries : Thailand – Laos - Myanmar was once the opium trading area. Enjoy taking pictures from Phu Khao Temple overlooking the Mae Khong River.

Day 3 : Boat Ride to Laos + Black Museum or “Ban Dum ”+ White Temple or “Rong Khun Temple ” + Mae Khachan Hot Spring.
Moring with the Boat Ride to Laos Take a boat on the Gigantic Mae Khong River from Thailand to Laos, which usually takes around 30 minutes. In Laos,you can taste the local whiskey as well as shopping in the small market near the river bank. After return back to the pier, continue to Black Museum (Ban Dum)A black house with a large collection of art established by Mr.Tawan Datchanee, one of the great artists of Thailand. Walk around and observe wood carvings, silver, sculptures and paintings within 40 buildings on the property. Lunch in the local restaurant and visit White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) This unique white temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand signifies purity of the heart. The mural is painted in contemporary style by Mr.Chalermchai Kositpipat who devotes his whole life to work on the temple.
Due to the long drive to Chiang Mai, have a stop at Mae Khachan Hot Spring Experience foot soaking in the warm pool which is believed to be a great healing for skin and joints. There is a separate pool which is so hot that you can even boil eggs and continue the road back to Chiang Mai.

During the winter in Thailand, the temperature is between 5 - 12 degrees Celsius / 41 - 54 degrees Fahrenheit. You should come prepared with appropriate clothing. This is the best time for traveling in Thailand, due to the nice and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation which makes the bio diversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.
March - May.
This is summer time, the temperature is between 28 - 33 degree Celsius / 82 - 91 degrees Fahrenheit. The hottest time of the year is April, when temperatures can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius / 109 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring something light and thin to wear. Hat , sun glasses and sunscreen is recommended.
June - October.
This is the rainy season, the temperature is between 18 - 25 degree Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or rain coat are recommended. Flip flops or thongs are the best shoes to wear during these months.
